Plenty of people can make good-looking content, but does it sell? Our strength lies precisely in combining a commercial perspective with creative content.
We start with a brand workshop to go through your goals, message and target audience. After that, we handle production independently, and it takes about 1–2 hours of your time a month: reviewing scripts and finished videos, plus a monthly meeting. A shoot day takes around 4–6 hours, and there isn't one every month.
The aim is to take up as little of your valuable time as possible. Of course, if you'd like to be more involved, you can be.
We send you a Google Drive link with the finished videos, the quote, the script and any behind-the-scenes footage, which you're also free to share.
Yes. We believe content should be tailored to each channel, for example by changing the aspect ratio. On Instagram, for instance, vertical videos take up more of the screen and so reach more people, because viewers are more likely to engage with them. The most common aspect ratios are 16:9 (standard landscape video), 9:16 (vertical video, IG Stories, TikTok, etc.) and 4:5 (vertical posts on IG/FB). We can make vertical and horizontal versions of any footage, as long as we know this at the shooting stage.
Yes! And it's well worth doing. For example, a single 1–2 min interview video can give you 2–3 shorter 15 s clips, which you can use in paid advertising, for instance. Short clips also work as a hook that gets people watching the longer video. So for “the same effort”, you get several times as much content.
Most of our video productions currently fall in the €1,990–3,490 range (per video), but lighter and larger productions are also possible. Clients often buy a package of several videos, and the price is adjusted accordingly. The price is made up of pre-production (casting, scriptwriting, location scouting), the shoot day (camera operators, sound, lighting) and the various stages of editing (cutting, colour grading, sound design, animation).
The first draft is delivered roughly a week after the shoot day. Here, a draft means a video that is at least 90% finished. Any changes are made as soon as possible. We can often schedule the shoot day at short notice too, even for the following week.
We have a quick questionnaire you can fill in instead of meeting us. Once we have a few basic details, we can handle the entire production independently.
As additional services, we offer photography alongside video shoots and publishing content across different channels, saving you time. We can also arrange both on-screen and voice actors when needed.
In autumn 2020, the whole crew was on a shoot in Lapland, admiring the autumn colours. As usual, Mäksä was thrilled about a great shot and practically bursting with energy. In Finnish, that is called höyrytä, which literally means “to steam”. Aleksi quipped that Mäksä should start a company called Höyrymedia, given all the steaming, and Mäksä replied: “Are you in?” That was the start of a partnership that continues to this day.
